Meet the Moreno Valley Team Behind Ellery ADU Studio Moreno Valley
Every ADU we’ve designed, permitted, and built in Moreno Valley since 2015 has been handled by people who live here too. We don’t fly in crews from out of state or subcontract your job to a board you’ve never met. Nadia Ellery built this studio on the idea that a local team with real names and real accountability would outwork any corporate assembly line. These are the people who answer when you call, walk your property, and sign off on the final inspection photo.

Nadia Ellery, Owner & Principal Designer
I’m Nadia, and I started Ellery ADU Studio in 2015 after spending eight years watching homeowners in Riverside County get passed between architects who never visited the site and builders who never read the drawings. I hold a California contractor classification and maintain direct relationships with the Moreno Valley planning counter, the Riverside County Building & Safety office, and the inspectors who cover the 92551, 92553, 92555, and 92557 zones. I still walk every initial site visit myself because the slope on a Sunnymead Ranch lot or the utility access in Meadowbrook tells me more in ten minutes than a satellite photo ever could. When I’m not on site, I’m usually updating permit trackers or arguing with a plan checker about fire sprinkler equivalency - which I secretly enjoy.
Marcus T., Lead Technician & Site Supervisor
Marcus has been running our Moreno Valley job sites for six years, and he’s the reason our documented photo record actually shows something useful. He holds a C-36 Plumbing license and a C-10 Electrical certification, which means he can spot when a subcontractor’s rough-in is going to fail inspection before the drywall goes up. Marcus grew up in Perris and still lives there with his two dogs, both of whom have made unscheduled appearances on our site walk videos. He’s the one who will tell you, without drama, that your existing garage slab is two inches thin for a conversion and exactly what that adds to the foundation line item.
Diana R., Senior Installer & Prefab Systems Specialist
Diana joined us in 2019 after five years installing modular units across San Bernardino and Riverside counties. She’s our in-house expert on the prefab and modular brands we specify - Abodu, Cover, Dvele, Mighty Buildings, Boxabl, Plant Prefab, Tuff Shed, and James Hardie - and she can walk you through crane access requirements for a Boxabl unit on a Box Springs hillside lot versus a flat Meadowbrook parcel in about three minutes. Diana is certified in OSHA 30 construction safety and holds a forklift operator license for our heavier module placements. She keeps a handwritten log of every crane rental she’s coordinated, which she claims is “for taxes” but is really because she doesn’t trust cloud storage.
James K., Service Coordinator & Permit Tracker
James is the live person who answers when you call (951) 379-3047 at 7:45 on a Tuesday evening or Sunday morning. He’s been with Ellery ADU Studio since 2017, and he knows the difference between a Moreno Valley planning submittal and a Riverside County building permit better than most city employees. James holds a certification in construction document management and maintains our permit tracking system, which means he’s the one who calls you when an inspector is running behind or when we need an updated soils report for a Box Springs property. He commutes from Riverside, plays in a local softball league, and has developed what he calls “a complicated relationship” with the Moreno Valley planning department’s online portal.
Elena V., Apprentice Installer & Utility Rough-In Trainee
Elena started with us in 2023 after completing the construction technology program at Riverside City College. She’s currently apprenticing under Marcus on utility rough-ins and site prep, working toward her C-36 classification while she learns our documentation standards - the photo record, the written scope notes, the inspection sign-off sheets. Elena grew up in Moreno Valley and still lives near March Air Reserve Base, which means she’s unusually good at coordinating around military airspace restrictions when we’re scheduling crane deliveries. She asks more questions than anyone on the team, which is exactly why we hired her.
